Terms of use

The service

GoodPing provides free diagnostic tools and free website monitoring, operated by Verivello Ltd. By using the site you accept these terms.

Acceptable use

Use the tools on systems you own or have permission to test. Do not use GoodPing to scan, probe or map networks that are not yours, to attempt to gain unauthorised access, or as a component of an attack on any system. Do not attempt to overwhelm the service with automated requests: checks are rate-limited, and persistent abuse is blocked.

No warranty

The service is provided as is. Checks may fail, produce incorrect results, or be unavailable. A result of "up" is not a guarantee that a site is functioning correctly, and a result of "down" is not proof that it is not — a check reports only what one request from one server returned at one moment.

Monitoring is best-effort

Free monitoring carries no service level agreement. Alerts may be delayed, duplicated or missed, and email delivery is outside our control. Do not rely on GoodPing alone for anything where downtime carries material cost; use it alongside a paid service with a contractual SLA.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verivello Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the service — including lost revenue, lost data, or downtime that an alert failed to report. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and termination

We may change or withdraw features, and may remove any monitor that is abusive or that targets a system without permission. We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
