DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
DNS returned "no such domain". The name could not be turned into an IP address at all, so no connection was ever attempted.
What causes it
- The domain is misspelled.
- The domain has expired or been suspended.
- A DNS record was deleted or a nameserver change went wrong.
- Your DNS resolver is broken or holding a bad cached answer.
If you are the visitor
- Check the spelling of the address.
- Switch your DNS resolver to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
- Flush your DNS cache and restart your router.
- Try the site on another network to rule out your ISP.
If it is your website
- Check the domain has not expired.
- Confirm the nameservers at your registrar match the DNS provider you are actually editing.
- Verify the A record exists and the zone is being served.
