NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

The certificate is valid but does not cover the hostname in the address bar.

What causes it

A certificate for example.com being used on www.example.com, or the reverse.
A wildcard certificate being used on a second-level subdomain it does not cover.
Several sites on one IP with SNI misconfigured, so the wrong certificate is served.

If you are the visitor

Try the address with and without the www prefix.

If it is your website

Reissue the certificate with every hostname you serve listed.
Check the vhost configuration binds the right certificate to the right server name.
